Everytine we have dined, the customer service is always 100% and the food is always top notch. They have great quality food at nice affordable prices. I always feel the need to roll out when we leave as I am always ready for bed (food coma haha). The staff are the friendliest I have ever come across and the drive from Auckland to Thames is always worth it. Remember to check out the food in the cabinet as well as the baking! If you’re like me and born in the 80s, you will appreciate the nostalgic feeling of having their afghans and shortbread. The restaurant itself has a homely feeling & easy to find. Thank you to the owners for putting Aroha in your Kai, as we always leave with a full cup!

This cafe served us great food, great service and delicious coffee. Prices are reasonable. Chicken and bacon fettuccine was so yummy, I seen the waitress walk past with a plate for another customer and it smelt and looked delicious, so glad I ordered this. Staff were so friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend!

Bite Café in Thames is a delightful spot with a warm and inviting atmosphere. We enjoyed an evening coffee, a delicious lemon tart, and a fresh vegetarian salad—all beautifully prepared. The coffee art was unique and added a special touch to our experience. This family-run café feels extra special, with their Nana making the pastries. Highly recommended!

We tried this place for the first time today and it was fantastic. Great atmosphere, lovely food and the service was friendly and warm. My husband had seafood curry and I had perfect poached eggs, we both had a Chai Latte, yum. We’ll make it our special breakfast location for sure. It’s located away from the busy town however near the hospital so you may need to park & walk. It was sunny today so a nice walking day.
